«Palimpsest: the work which in its actual state may suggest and show traces of earlier versions»

The small site is is characterized by the presence of a large wall that reveals the traces of time, like a palimpsest of the city. The historic nature of this surface leads to intervene as little as possible on it. Moreover the size of the site highlights a question about the space profitability
 

That is why the stairs are set between this surface and a screen wall that separates the circulation spaces from the exhibition spaces. The reception room and three exhibition halls are superimposed and vary according to their heights and their orientations.
