The site is in a strategic spot. It is situated on a square just next to the «maison folie» of Wazemmes, cultural institution acknowledged by the inhabitants. This place is virtually is connected to a network of parks and public place with a long pedestrian street.



The building follows the morphology of the existing and makes a new interpretation. It is thus based on the use of semi-detached houses with annexes and by a play on discrepancy and reshaping, the building is embodied in the form of different interconnected buildings.

The square is developed by reinterpreting the existing treatment made of flexible forms and slight topography.
