In Hacheng, the core idea for this project was to re-interpret the concept of “Commercial Street” to draw a commercial mall. The building was thought as a mass dug by this “street” which creates a central square. From this inner square, all functions are served.

The void is created to enjoy the surrounding and the landscape. Indeed, from the big covered entrance in northwest, there are 4 possible moments: -turn back after going in, by ascending to the next platform, you will see the mountain through a massive outdoor frame. -straight ahead towards the other extreme of the building, you will face the river. -walking towards south and going up the stairs to next level, it appears a massive pointing to the sky. –and in the North, there is void, framing the city.
